Celtic Quest – World Class Coasteering In Pembrokeshire

•25/03/2010 • Leave a Comment

Celtic Quest Coasteering (CQC) is Pembrokeshire’s only dedicated Coasteering provider.
We offer safe, guided exploration of the Pembrokeshire coast, the home and premier location for Coasteering.

Amid so many outdoor centres in Pembrokeshire, how is Celtic Quest any different from the rest?
Our concept is to make coastal exploration accessible to all (aged 8yrs+).
Whether you’re after an adrenaline filled adventure activity or maybe you’re not confident in water, we will tailor the activity to suit your needs and abilities.

Celtic Quest use various sections of coastline across the county from Tenby right up to Cardigan.
*Weather and sea conditions can sometimes dictate where we explore.

With a wealth of experience and oodles of enthusiasm our guides will introduce you to the often inaccessible sections of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, at an affordable price!

Meet some of our staff:

Cleopatra
Partner & Senior Guide

Cleopatra - Partner & Senior Guide
An outdoor pursuits instructor for 12 years, I enjoy sea kayaking, surfing, diving and above all Coasteering.

My most memorable Coasteering moment would have to be when we had dolphins swim into the bay at Barafundle.

I love anything to do with the sea, especially when it involves my dogs.
I can’t stand mushrooms and finding plastic bottles on our beaches.

Jordan
Partner & Lead Guide

Jordan - Partner and Lead Guide

I’ve been a Coasteering guide for 5 years. My best moment while Coasteering was an encounter with a juvenile seal in the Blue Lagoon.
I like silly jokes, i don’t like spiders and waking up early.

Clare
Assistant Guide

Clare - Assistant GuideI joined the Celtic Quest team in March 2009 and have very quickly built up experience and confidence as an assistant instructor.I enjoy new challenges and Coasteering was definitely one of them!

I have coasteered for 49 doggy years. As you can see I take my tennis ball on every adventure.

2009 was my first season, I love lazing in the sun but prefer it in the sea on hot summer days.

Stackpole Sea Kayak Festival

Stackpole Sea Kayak Festival

Stackpole Sea Kayak Festival May 29-31 2010

Now a well established Sea Kayaking Festival with a difference – with a theme of ‘Paddling lightly’ like ‘treading softly’ on the land, therefore looking after this wonderful coastline whilst discovering its natural wonders.

The Sea Kayak Festival will be based at the National Trust’s residential centre at Stackpole and run in conjunction with Sea Kayak Guides who have sponsored the event by providing a team of guides.

During the day, there will be a choice of island and coastal journeys with Caldy and Skomer within striking distance (weather permitting). On hand will be wildlife experts to share their wealth of knowledge of what’s ‘out there’. Grey seals, dolphins, puffins and razorbills should all be within reach.

In the evening, talks by guest speakers, music, a barbecue and bar will all be on offer…or just a stroll down to one of Britain’s finest beaches, Barafundle, just twenty minutes walk away.

For £140 a person, we’ll look after you, fully catered, inside our cosy Centre. Alternatively join in the fun but provide for yourself on our camping field for just £70 per person. Day tickets are also available at £20 per person too.

Prior booking is essential!
We look forward to seeing you here
